Official Talk

My doctorate in Experimental Psychology is where I began researching childhood self-regulation and mindfulness meditation. I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Colorado where I researched emotion regulation in adults. I've taught university courses in social, cognitive, and abnormal psychology as well as statistics (I fancy myself a stats geek). I am the co-instructor for the massive open online course with over 20,000 students called The Science and Practice of Yoga.

Real Talk 

I'm a nature-obsessed, animal-loving, lifelong learner. Most of my time is spent researching and teaching mental exercises that help people of all ages calm down, pay attention, self-reflect, and connect to themselves and others. The rest of my time is spent brainstorming new nicknames for my dog, Georgia.
